FAMOUS FORECAST

Washingtonians, we’re in for a day of clouds, clouds, and more clouds. The sun will make a very brief appearance in the late afternoon, but not enough to bring temperatures above a chilly 48 degrees. Evening temps will drop into the 30s, but don’t let that keep you from enjoying your Thirsty Thursday!

THURSDAY JAM

Brought to you by Tazewell Jones of FamousDC.

John Lennon would’ve turned 76 this year were it not for his tragic passing, but even still today and surely for countless years to come, his legacy lives on. #ThrowbackThursday is usually an opportunity for the FamousDC family to cut loose with a party anthem Song of the Day (and don’t worry…many more of those to come), but today we’re changing things up. In spirit of the holidays and in remembrance of an iconic artist and musical pioneer, today’s Throwback Thursday tune is a bit different. Happy Thursday, folks, and happy holidays to you all.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Forget about the impending holiday weight gain and treat yo’ self to a warm brownie because it’s National Brownie Day. Chocolate lovers, rejoice!

THIS DAY IN HISTORY

Today marks the 36th anniversary of music visionary and Beatles frontman John Lennon‘s assassination in New York City. His contributions to music and art in general are immeasurable as many contemporary artists are still influenced by his words, his music, and his anti-war activism. May his music play on!
