It’s Taco Tuesday something worth celebrating weekly throughout the DMV. You have a lot of spots to choose from and we are adding one more to your list to try. Rosslyn just added Taco Rock to the neighborhood, a fast-casual spot by Chef Mike Cordero who co-owns Arlington bars Don Tito, G.O.A.T., and Bronson Bierhall and his sons Nick and Anthony along with Chef Stefano Marzano, executive chef and owner of MightyMeals. Taco Rock is located at 1501 Wilson Boulevard in the old Spinfire Pizza location.

Taco Rock embraces the rock music theme with a guitar in the ceiling, specialty cocktails with Elvis, Jimmy Hendrix, and other rock legends, and of course a playlist with looping videos of top rock hits as you wait in line.

Taco Rock specializes in blue corn tortillas that are made from scratch. The tacos are a value at $3 and a few specialty tacos priced at $4 such as the “piggy mac”, which features eight-hour slow roasted pork brisket, mac and cheese, and bacon. These tacos have already been a hit with thousands being sold in the lunch time rush and of course the obligatory social media sharing of what you ordered from this unique place. The Elote (Street Corn), Hot Poppers, and Churro Ice Cream Tacos are also well worth trying and Instagram friendly.

Word has traveled quickly about Taco Rock’s food menu, but the drinks and bar are equally as popular. From classic margaritas to craft tequila cocktails, you won’t be disappointed with your drink selection. In the first few weeks, Taco Rock has also filled the Rosslyn happy hour needs day after day. Give it a try this Taco Tuesday.

Taco Rock opens daily at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. There are plans to extend hours for breakfast in the coming weeks.
