When you represent big names like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and eBay on the Hill, your launch party is definitely going to attract a cast of characters. The Internet Association (IA) pulled out all the stops for their much anticipated party at Capitale last Thursday, successfully bridging the gap between policy wonks, trendsetters, and the rising DC tech scene. Politico’s Mike Allen, Queen-Bee Heather Podesta, The Pink Line Project’s Philippa Hughes, a few of the BYT cast, and a few rouge Hill interns chewed the fat (actually, the sushi) with MOC’s and CEO’s like Rep. Paulson, Rep. Upton, and IA’s own Michael Beckerman. Rep. Judy Chu was also spotted tagging on the virtual “graffiti wall.”

Well it’s finally here folks, St. Patrick’s Day – another bead-throwing, day-drinking, semi-made up holiday that we’re perfectly ok with. But that’s not the only thing happening this weekend – take a look below for all events green and gold with a few extras thrown in.

Can anyone else sense just the lightest tinge of Spring in the air? Maybe it’s just me, but with DST this weekend and the Noquester behind us, it’s prime time to get out of the house and have a great weekend.

With spring starting to tease us, office brackets causing fights, St. Patrick’s Day in a few weeks and sequestration about to hit, it’s time to just pop bottles and hold on for the long haul because this month isn’t gonna slow down. So let’s say goodbye to February and hello to March with a weekend lineup sure to set the tone.

Exhibit Openings, Social Media Week and the Oscars; It’s gonna be a packed weekend so take a minute to get ready, set and go!

3 day weekend, 3 nights of fun. What could be better? Time to kick off tonight with new a happy hour spot and end with the extra day for recovery on Monday.

Let’s be real, it’s been a long week and last weekend was a little out of control between DC Mardi Gras and Super Bowl. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t get a little crazy while still having some R&R time. You’ll find the best of both worlds in our top picks for the weekend.

We feel bad for anyone who took the OVER on the 50 minute over/under for the Washington Press Club Foundation Annual Congressional Dinner last night. Major Garrett kept things moving quickly and all the guests were rolling out of their chairs laughing at Senator Heidi Heitkamp and Congressman Jason Chaffetz. From …

Brrrrrrr talk about a blizzard! No, but really, it’s a little too chilly out there for us so we put together a weekend of warm fun that includes plenty of fireplaces and strong drinks to keep the chill away. Not to mention it’s the last weekend in January – man, …

The first weekend in January is always a mix of excitement for the new year and hangover from the holidays. However, though we’re detoxing from cookies and champagne, that doesn’t mean we can’t have a weekend filled with fun in DC.

Like every good city, DC does New Year’s Eve right with every bar staying open late, complimentary champagne popping, hotels throwing big parties and plenty of musical guests at venues throughout the District. With so much going on we pulled some of the best parties this year and a few that we’ll definitely be stopping by. Here’s to kicking off 2013 with a bang!

Here we are folks, just a day before the end of the world if you believe the Mayans and a weekend before Christmas Eve. For those of you on the Hill, including me, you may be spending your holiday eating turkey on Capitol Hill if this fiscal cliff isn’t resolved, so I present you with a weekend full of merriment should you be released from work. Good luck and Merry Christmas/Festivus/Kwanzaa to all!

December is such a lovely time in DC – the city is decorated beautifully and most hotels, restaurants and bars offer plenty of merriment while showcasing exquisite decorations. The weekend is here again and the city is your oyster. So, get out there and enjoy all it offers this holiday season. After all, it’s the ending weekend of Chanukah and just one more week before Christmas!

It’s that time again – the weekend is here, and holiday merriment abounds. Get out there and enjoy it DC!
