That’s one campaign strategy we haven’t seen. h/t Tanner Latham

In light of the upcoming DC Beer Week, we thought it would be best to have one of DC’s favorite beer aficionados weigh in. Below Bill DeBaun, a co-editor at DCBeer.com, outlines some events to hit up and several tips for planning the best possible route to hops and happiness. Enjoy. DC Beer Week returns next week (August 12-18), and despite my liver’s protests, I’m looking forward to celebrating the people and places that make the DC metro area’s beer scene one of the best in America. Tastings, dinners, meeting the brewers, rare beers, local beers, hell, even a craft beer cruise on the Potomac will fill next week’s social calendar with malty, hoppy, sudsy goodness.

Monday’s Screen on the Green featured Hitchcock’s Psycho where the crowd assembled on the lawn clapped when Norman Bates was tackled to the ground at the end of the film. Patrick G. Ryan of SnarkInfested was there to capture the last viewing of the summer.

Restaurant Week is a fun and affordable way to try new restaurants, but it can also be a bit overwhelming.  With so many delicious options popping up on DC’s culinary map nearly every day, it can be hard to choose where to go.  We’ve combed through the contenders and put together a list that is sure to have something for every appetite. You will see the restaurant on the map and listed in one of ten categories we thought would help with your decision: Perennial Favorites, Table for Two, Power Lunch, Girl’s Night Out, Oui Oui!, Meatheads, Beer Lovers, Expense Account Required the Other 51 Weeks of the Year, Hidden in Plain Site, and Can’t Get Enough. Bon Appetit!

FamousDC stopped by National Journal’s Influence Alley event last night and it was packed with over 150 lining the bar. As promised, the night was filled with politics, power, people and, most importantly, pints. Guests also submitted names for their top 35 under 35 hill staffers. We conducted a few unofficial exit poll interviews and it looks like this is Freddy Barnes’ race to lose. While there, we spotted a few famous faces: NBWA’s Rebecca Spicer, the AHIP crew of Robbie & Katie Zirkelbach with L.D. Platt, Examiner Yeas & Nays scribe Jenny Rogers, Nu Wexler, Kamara Jones, Stephen “The Gronk” Martinko and his wife Erin, Sunlight’s Liz Bartolomeo, Catherine Goode, Jessica Butler, Derek Satya Khanna, Caroline Holdman, Cam Newton, and the NJ team including Elahe Izadi, Mike Catalini, Ron Fournier, Matt Cooper, Nicole Duran, Julie Edwards, Andrew Behringer, and Caroline Boccarosse.

Our friends over at AbsolutelyDC have put together a list of things that should not be worn during August recess. 1. The Strapless Dress. This is more of a staple for a garden wedding or perhaps a brunch. There is such a thing as showing too much skin. 2. Key …
