Our friends over at AbsolutelyDC have put together a list of things that should not be worn during August recess.
1. The Strapless Dress. This is more of a staple for a garden wedding or perhaps a brunch. There is such a thing as showing too much skin.
2. Key Hole blouses/dress. Cleavage and more cleavage spillth over. Save that for the beach. Enough said.
3. Halter Tops. This is not the club. At no point, is someone going to start flicking the lights and playing Katy Perry. I assure you no one is going to ask you if you feel like dancing in the middle of the afternoon. I know all halter tops are not club wear but let’s air on the side of caution.
4. One Shoulder dresses – See #1
5. Flip Flops – Yes, even flip flops with flowers, rhinestones, and fancy ones.
Left off the list: jean shorts and cut off shirts.
