Awesome events: Get your fill of beer and brats tonight (and through the weekend) at Wunder Garten’s Oktoberfest; This kind of all-nighter might just inspire your artsy side; We’re obviously celebrating DC’s un-statehood by having a state fair; Eat and drink your way through Georgetown on Sunday at the Taste of Georgetown; Move over NYFW, it’s time for DC to show off its style; Your zen called – it’ll be waiting for you at the National Building Museum on Sunday; Kick off the Smithsonian-wide Hispanic Heritage Month at Zoofiesta on Sunday; Katy Perry wants to give your Monday a little pop.

Port City Brewing Company in Alexandria, VA prides itself on every beer it crafts and shares with communities from New York all the way down to North Carolina

Here’s your Halloween pop-up bar heads up; H Street is great for many reasons – a coffee shop that also has childcare is just one of them; Amos Snead and Jaime Harrison want to teach you how to effectively climb the Hill; Basically, we need to start sleeping like animals; It’s only a matter of time before this no-dogs-on-patios ban becomes a protest in DC; Brigham Young University is about to get CRAY; Apple picking is a thing and we need to get used to it; Baby Gazelles!

Let’s get baked! Baked & Wired that is. You know, that place with those baked goods and latte art you see all over Instagram? We sat down with their general manager, Karen Gramke, to find out what’s been baking over there.
