No offense to Charlie Brown, but we saw some pretty great pumpkins last night and they weren’t cartoons.

The 3rd annual Monster Mash Pumpkin Bash at Eastern Market was another smashing success. The annual fundraiser for the Imagine An Answer to Kids’ Brain Cancer foundation features pumpkins creatively carved by several Members of Congress, a silent auction, live music, and spooktacular food and drink.

Members of Congress mingled with business leaders, community members, and young patients and their families – all in support of funding research to find better answers to defeating pediatric low grade astrocytomas aka brain tumors.

Every year the Pumpkin Bash raises research funds and awareness in the fight against PLGA children’s brain cancer. According to Imagine An Answer to Kids’ Brain Cancer, PLGA brain cancer impacts 20,000 children, with 1,000 new cases diagnosed each year.
