Readers gain an understanding of the politics of why to wear–and the etiquette of when to wear–specific styles. Marissa Mitrovich founded Politiquette with the goal of bringing further substance to the dialogue surrounding style in DC.

Steadfast Supply, the newest space for shopping, art and creativity has made its mark DC.  Located at The Yards, close to the U.S. Capitol and conveniently located across the street from Bluejacket Brewery – for when you’re ready for that refreshment.  The concept for the space was created by Virginia Arrisueño of DeNada Designs, artist Kelly Towles, graphic designer Nathan Hill, Becky Waddell of Be Clean, and artist Leigh-Ann Friedel, as an opportunity to connect Washingtonians with local creative minds that are building community and meaningful relationships.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Steadfast Supply and there is a great amount of creative spirit at the space.  Steadfast Supply fills a local retail void by promoting and giving back to DC by bringing together several creative minds to amplify their collective talent.  For people who are searching for something unique, reasonably priced and made locally, this is the place to shop.

One designer located in this space, Ron David Edwards, told me, “I want to be a part of a space that uniquely showcased the vast reaches of DC-based designers and creatives. The Yards neighborhood is the perfect backdrop for this concept as it is constructing what the new DC has become.”

The store will always have 15-20 rotating brands, including beauty, fashion, pet, kids, artisan foods, and art.  There will also be pop-up events hosted there such as yoga, dinners and collaborations with local arts and creative organizations.

Steadfast Supply will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through December.
