Sing it with us! The hills (of Adams Morgan) are alive with the sound of music.

AdMo isn’t technically hilly, but it will be extremely musical this weekend. More than three dozen musicians will play live music along the streets at this year’s PorchFest on Saturday.

The festival, which started in 2013, connects local D.C. artists with new listeners in an outdoor setting. Adams Morgan Partnership BID Executive Director Kristen Barden said the event connects the neighborhood in appreciation of music.

“Each year, Adams Morgan PorchFest fills the streets of our community with music, to be enjoyed by anyone and everyone, for free,” Barden told FamousDC. “It gives neighbors a reason to connect, and visitors a way to discover the beauty of our neighborhood as they follow their ears from house to house.”

Local bands who play a range of genres, including brass, blues,  rock, and soul will perform in shifts at different porch locations from 2 to 6 p.m. For a full map of where to find each band, check out the PorchFest Facebook page. The event will happen rain or shine.
