D.C. just keeps getting sweeter!

Not only does the National Confectioners Association satisfy our sweet cravings, they also bring a powerful and meaningful message to the candy industry through their #PowerOfSweet initiative.

The CEOs of top U.S. manufacturers of chocolate, candy, gum, and mints are in town this week for their annual fly-in, educating Members of Congress about the #PowerOfSweet and the need for sugar reform.

More than 120 National Confectioners Association members will be joined by about 20 members of the new Congressional Candy Caucus for a reception on Capitol Hill on Wednesday evening. The caucus is co-chaired by Representatives Jackie Walorski (R-IN) and Annie Kuster (D-NH). Other congressional speakers at the reception include: Congressman Barletta (R-PA), Congressman Latta (R-OH), Congresswoman Speier (D-CA), Congressman Danny Davis (D-IL), Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA), and Congressman Charlie Dent (R-PA).
