Meet Eric Wohschlegel.

He recently launched TheCribLine which aims to answer those difficult real estate questions. He was nice enough to spend a few minutes with us for a FamousDC Famous 5 interview.

1.       Tell us about TheCribLine (www.thecribline.com). What made you want to make this?

I love real estate and after buying my first house almost 16 years ago, I began developing a strong network of professionals in the industry from realtors, contractors, mortgage brokers, painters, and the list goes on. And, working in politics for most of my career, I had developed a lot of relationships with people who like real estate or were curious about it.  This site is a way of connecting these groups while promoting Washington real estate and our vibrant neighborhoods.

2.       You’ve been in DC 18 years. What is your favorite thing about the nation’s capitol?

There are two things… our varied neighborhoods have a lot to offer. And, what do I like to do? Explore some of our cities awesome houses and restaurants.

3.       The White House calls and says that President Obama wants hang out on Capitol Hill tonight. Where are y’all going?

Well, because I have two favorite spots… we’ll go on a little foodie tour… Art and Soul first for cocktails and appetizers and explore the scene there, then settle down at Bistro Cacao, a quieter scene conducive for good conversation, great dinner options, and a bottle of Bordeuax.

4.       Will the Redskins make the playoffs this year?

They’re off to a good start… think what that could do for the real estate market.

5. What are the top things folks can get from your website, TheCribLine?

Look at your own life and see if buying a home is for you. Or, if you’re looking at trading up, or buying a vacation home or investment property, ask The Cribline if you’renot sure what to do. If you just need a recommendation for a good painter, go online and Ask Eric one of the main sections of the site.

If you think that you’re throwing away thousands of dollars a month on rent and want to own, but just don’t know where to get started. We’re here to help.

Finally, check out The Cribline’s House Pick of the Week. Every week we go around DC and pick one house that stands out and we do a cost analysis that helps people see how, for example, a million dollar home with the right strategy can cost less than some one bedroom apartments.
