The show and the omelets must go on.  [event details]

“Music should strike fire from the heart of man,” Beethoven said. And Friday July 15, your favorite D.C. band Bonjour, Ganesh! is helping an American institution rise from the flames like a phoenix – a phoenix who likes to dance its tramp-stamped rump off.

The legendary Capitol Hill dive bar, The Tune Inn, suffered a terrible fire June 25 that shut its hallowed doors for repairs and left 10 staff without tips from our double-fisted National Bohemians and late night homemade corned beef & hash omelets. Everyone loses – everyone.

But here’s your action: Bonjour, Ganesh! is going forces with ‘Friends of the Tune Inn,’ loyal customers and local businesses for a staff fundraiser night featuring raffle prizes from Capitol Hill businesses and artists, and the chance to buy Tune Inn memorabilia. Local businesses have generously agreed to donate food for the event.

Joining us for a special added attraction is guest guitarist and friend Matt Stuart. Festivities begin at 3pm, but our performance isn’t til the evening – but come early, indulge in friends and the best that the American Legion has to offer – which if you’ve been to one, they offer a damn good time.

Be there. Friday, July 15 from 7 – 9pm. American Legion Post 8 at 224 D Street, SE (Capitol South Metro)
