DCist’s Aaron Morrissey: D.C. Chick-fil-A Reportedly in the Works

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Chick-fil-A has plans to open an urban “in-line” store in Washington, part of a strategy to grab a bigger slice of the urban fast-food market. As part of the strategy, Chick-fil-A is opening three restaurants in Chicago area over the next three months and a restaurant in St. Louis in 2011 — but there’s no word on where or when a Chick-fil-A would open in Washington. There are currently three Chick-fil-As in the District, but each is located in a collegiate cafeteria setting (at Howard, George Washington and Catholic Universities), with limited hours.
