One of the most beloved operas has returned to Washington, D.C.

Passion, tragedy, and fate collide in Puccini’s beloved opera Madama Butterfly, presented by Washington National Opera (WNO) in thirteen performances, February 26 to March 19 at the Kennedy Center Opera House. The perennially popular masterpiece features acclaimed sopranos Catherine Naglestad and Ana María Martínez as Cio-Cio-San. Leading the WNO Orchestra and Chorus in this classic production are WNO General Director Plácido Domingo and Music Director Philippe Auguin. Madama Butterfly is performed in Italian with English supertitles.
