Corey Antonio Moore, 35, had an open bottle of alcohol in his hand while walking down the 100 block of Sherman Avenue around 5 p.m. on Sept. 25. A police officer noticed this and chased after him. Police then say Moore threw the bottle at the officer — not the smartest move in any circumstance, but especially stupid considering what police allege happened next.

According to police records, Moore was still running down the street when he tossed a bag into a Dumpster. When police returned to the Dumpster, they discovered 1.2 pounds of cocaine inside, worth about $50,000.

Corey was surprised that he was caught.
