College to Congress is crushing the gridlock in Congress by helping the next generation of politicos kick start their careers by covering all costs associated with a congressional internship in DC. On Wednesday, July 17, they will host The Summer School Soirée. We had a quick chat with Audrey Henson, Founder & CEO, to talk about why this is worth ditching class (or a Committee meeting) for.

1. What event are you most excited about this summer?

The Summer School Soirée presented by College to Congress. This is not your run-of-the-mill gala, so be prepared to show up and show out.

2. What are you going to wear?

We have partnered with Rent the Runway, so obviously something chic. In fact, the first 50 people to buy tickets to our soirée will be invited to join me at an exclusive in-store Shop and Sip styling party at Rent The Runway Georgetown.

3. What’s unique about the Summer School Soiree?

In short, everything. No rubber chicken dinners or long drawn out speeches! We have a live interactive art exhibit, virtual and magical reality video games, open bar and fantastic food, and of course, so many photo ops we might break Instagram.

4. Who is going to be there?

You, I hope. Over the next two weeks we will be announcing our DJ, Emcee’s and VIP’s on our instagram. Follow us at @collegetocongress and @audreyhenson_c2c.

5. Can I get a discount?

You betcha, but you better act quick. You can use promo code “C2Cintern” to get 10% off your tickets. The promo code expires tomorrow, Friday 6/14, at midnight! See you there!
