Who they are: D.C. Central Kitchen uses food as a tool to build communities, empower minds and strengthen bodies. They train jobless adults for culinary careers and hire dozens of its own graduates to prepare three million meals for homeless shelters, schools, and nonprofits each year.

Who they are: Capital Area Food Bank is the largest organization in Washington metro area working to solve hunger.

Who they are: You Give Goods offers an online drive system where volunteers can browse for a cause to donate to.

Who they are: The Holiday Project organizes visits to people in hospitals, nursing homes and other residential institutions to bring a little holiday cheer.

DC JCC: D25 Day of Service

Who we are: DC JCC is a Jewish community focused on recreational, social and fraternal organization.

This holiday season: They are hosting the largest volunteer event of the year. On December 25th from 6AM – 6PM you can volunteer by serving meals, singing carols, visiting home-bound seniors and many more family friendly opportunities.

Who we are: We Are Family is a grassroots organization that reaches out to isolated inner-city seniors.
