We see dead people… or dead runners? And here we thought that one of the joys of being deceased is that you don’t have to workout anymore…

Currently in its sixth year, Congressional Cemetery’s Dead Man’s Run 5k will take place again this Saturday, October 1. This Capitol Hill tradition draws runners of all abilities to participate in this spooky and family-friendly Halloween race.

Please note that while costumes are not mandatory, they are highly encouraged.
FamousDC caught up with the Dead Man’s Run’s Program Director, Lauren Maloy. She told us that the Dead Man’s Run is one of their biggest fundraisers and “all proceeds from the race contribute directly to the continued preservation of Historic Congressional Cemetery, a nonprofit and a National Historic Landmark.”

So get some garlic, get a costume, and get your sneakers because runners should be set to take their marks at 6pm. For more information about the race or to register, please click here.
