Put on your lederhosen, because Oktoberfest is here.

If you don’t have lederhosen, we’re disappointed in you, but we’re also here to let you know that you can still celebrate an authentic Oktoberfest.

Wunder Garten, a new NoMa hotspot, is bringing the party all the way from Germany to 1st and L St. NE this weekend. From Thursday to Sunday, the Bavarian-inspired beer garden is hosting events, games, and live music. According to Wunder Garten Co-Founder (and Real Life German Person) Allon Pultuskier, the event will be as authentic as it gets.

“This event is special because we are bringing a uniquely authentic experience to our Oktoberfest,” Pultuskier told FamousDC. “From the tapping of the keg on Thursday to the Bavarian Brunch on Saturday and Sunday, to the food catered by Cafe Berlin, everything is as close as it can get to how they do it where I’m from.”

The event begins on Thursday at 5 p.m., when NoMa BID President Robin-Eve Jasper taps the first keg. Friday will feature live German music from the band Die Drei (from 7 to 10 p.m.), which surely will inspire some incredible drunk dancing. On Saturday and Sunday, Wunder Garten is offering Bavarian brunch from 12 to 3 p.m., and on Sunday only, they’ll be roasting an entire 85 lb. pig on site.

If you’re just there for the beer, that’s cool too. Wunder Garten has almost 15 different types of beer, including ones with fun names like Franziskaner Hefeweizen and Hofbräuhaus Hefeweizen.

Good luck trying to say those names to the bartender when you’re four Franzikaner Hefeweizens in.
