The Undefeated  ESPN’s newest platform focused on the intersection of race and sports – is finally seeing the light of day and, after several months of some turbulence, the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Undefeated launched this morning to bring its audience stories of athleticism, altruism and inspiration from an African American perspective. The site will feature both long form stories and daily updates through articles, videos and podcasts. The all-star team consists of writers from publications including AP, Huffington Post and Washington Post – one of them being a longtime FamousDC friend, Clinton Yates, whose talents will be showcased by overseeing daily updates, short films and other various articles for the website.

And what’s a launch without an equally liberating anthem? If you heard a loud noise this morning, it was the sound of this beat being dropped.

Congratulations to Clinton and the team over at The Undefeated. It’s only day one and we’ve already seen a slam dunk.
