Readers gain an understanding of the politics of why to wear–and the etiquette of when to wear–specific styles. Rebecca is someone you can consistently count on to bring her A-game when it comes to fashion.  I have known this amazing woman for years and I am always excited to see her because she has some fantastic outfit worked up. I love the ensemble she picked for an early spring event.  The colors are perfect and the pattern is playful.  It’s hard to go wrong wearing Stella McCartney, but she nails the look for the designer!

Marie Sylla Dixon has great professional style.  Her look is classic and put together.  I love this outfit she is wearing. Mixing black and navy is always a fashion forward win in my book and she also very conservatively includes some flare – a gold tassel necklace, bangle bracelets and the button-down shirt is a mix of navy gingham and navy stripes!

Gregg Rozeboom

Women are crushing fashion this week, but this guy definitely made the cut.  Gregg’s philosophy on the clothing he wears and the business he runs is consistent – the product must be plant based, sustainable and come from a corporately responsible company.  Gregg is the founder of Fruitive at CityCenterDC and that is just where I met him. I think he looks very casual-chic and I was drawn to his chambray on denim look.  I’m also a big fan of his understated trucker hat with an illustration of the Rocky Mountains (he hails from Colorado).  I liked his look, but then I learned that he is wearing clothing made from cotton and hemp products down to his shoes.  This is someone who is deeply committed to fashion for really admirable reasons.

Christina has her own fashion happening and I am a huge fan!  She wears what she wants, when she wants and makes it work.  Her outfit is outrageous, colorful and fun, but what makes me love her look most is that she holds a very important job working for the U.S. government and isn’t intimidated by the traditional style adopted by most Washingtonians.  Her intelligence and proven commitment to her profession allows her some wiggle room to embrace her fun style.

Lindsay Wasiljov

Lindsay Wasiljov looks ready for spring in an effortlessly casual way.  She picks very classic pieces, but they all incorporate current trends.  Her black slip-on sneakers with white soles are very edgy, as is wearing a vest version of an army jacket and incorporating a chunky jeweled necklace.  I also love that she is wearing white BEFORE Labor Day!   Lindsay’s look is an easy one to replicate and win with.
