The World We Want is a global movement dedicated to bringing self-reflection and expression to the masses. It comes in the form of an art installation and is starting conversations in communications across the world about the world we all want to live in and how to get there.

Screen Shot 2015-09-16 at 2.45.04 PMCreator, Amber Rae stumbled upon the project organically when she hit the streets of New York and asked strangers about their greatest fears and biggest aspirations. She was surprised at how willing people were to open their hearts to her. Moreover, many had a sense of urgency behind their confessions, hopes, and dreams.

She decided to launch the project on a wider scale and came up with the idea to create a giant chalkboard wall on which people complete two simple yet thoughtful statements:

“I want to live in a world where…”

“To create this world, I will…”

The first wall went live in Brooklyn, New York on September, 24 2014. Now, hundreds of walls will go live around the world this September for “World We Want Month.”
