In case you thought that the rainbow décor garnishing the city as of late was a new home and garden trend, it’s not. It’s LGBT Pride Month and the capital isn’t one to be left out at a party. To celebrate, thousands of locals, visitors, businesses, and volunteers lined the 1.5-mile parade route through northwest DC last Saturday to watch the floats, vehicles, and walkers march with pride.

We parked ourselves near the end of the route in Logan Circle where Army veterans, Cher look-alikes, and lots of glistening pecs danced across the finish line in nearly 90-degree heat. Props to you, Capital Pride Alliance; we had a blast!
