If you don’t know Tom Manatos, well, you should. You might know him from his extensive job list with over 10,000 subscribers, or perhaps it’s that perpetual smile he wears all through the Capitol, he is not to be forgotten.

Tom Manatos made the short walk down to the Democratic National Committee from the Capitol this week. Manatos spent the last nine years in Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office.

In his words,

“Whether it was watching Speaker Pelosi take the gavel to become the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, watching President Obama be sworn in as the first African American President in our country’s history or just walking into the U.S. Capitol building for work every day, I have always felt so lucky and appreciative to be able to be in this position.  By watching and learning from Speaker Pelosi and her incredibly dedicated and talented staff I have learned more than any book or class could have ever taught me.”

Manatos heads to the DNC to serve as Senior Advisor to Chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and will now enjoy some time on the political side and of course continue sharing that famous smile with folks on South Capitol Street.

Something tells us his location may change, but the Dunkin’ Donuts will still have a spot on Manatos’ desk.
