Microsoft in the House. Literally.

Thursday evening, members of congress, their families, and staff were breaking a sweat in Rayburn, but it was not over a leaked twitpic or a discovered Tiffany’s account. Everyone was taking part in the first annual Capitol Hill Family Game Night presented by Microsoft.

The first floor foyer was transformed into the future gamers’ paradise, but there was not a couch, controller, or headset to be seen.  Microsoft was showing off their newest Xbox 360 Kinect videogames, along with their latest online privacy and safety tools for parents.

Short speeches were given by a Microsoft executives and Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA) promoting the Get Game Smart program, which gives parents resources to educate their children on responsible technology use.  Featured games demos included Kinect Sports Season 2 with football and golf, Disney Adventures, a Stars Wars Jedi Adventure, and a crazy dancing game, all of which should be in stores in time for the holidays.
