Three people were injured near Capitol Hill on Monday when a man fleeing a Capitol Police officer hit a commuter bus with his car.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was arrested shortly after jumping a median in his car at New Jersey Avenue and H Street Northwest and then fleeing on foot.
The man hit several parked cars and a commuter bus, injuring two passengers and the driver. All three were taken to MedStar with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, the man fled in his car after an officer tried to make a “traffic stop” on the vehicle.
