Inauguration weekend is upon us and the city is already stirring! Here’s your weekend lineup full of several gems to keep you entertained. Bonus: many bars are getting their licenses extended til 4 am so there will be plenty of action in the DofC!

Inauguration Day:

Inauguration – if you’re lucky to have a ticket and you don’t mind standing in the freezing cold, you will be on the National Mall for the swearing-in and then have a chance to catch the President during the Inauguration Parade.

Inauguration Viewing – if you don’t have a ticket, my recommendation would be to hit up a bar in DC or VA (for those who don’t wish to fight the hoards of people doing into the city) for an inauguration brunch. My picks are mussels and champagne at Brasserie Beck (where I spent my inauguration 4 years ago), Ben’s Next Door which is hosting an inauguration brunch viewing party, or any Capitol Hill bar in DC. For you VA folks, Lyon Hall is always yummy, as is Rustico.
