Halloween is officially upon us. With the 31st just days away, it’s crunch time when it comes to organizing Halloween plans. What’s even better is that this year Halloween falls on a Saturday. This means both Friday and Saturday can be reserved for some ghoulish festivities. Aside from trick-or-treating down Embassy Row, here are some other things you can do this Halloween weekend in D.C.

Nightmare on M Street, October 31st

Break out your best costume and head on down to M Street this Halloween for a night of bar crawls, fun, and awesome costumes! Make sure to grab your tickets for the 17th annual Nightmare on M Street, and enjoy awesome bar specials from 3 P.M. to 12 A.M. We’ll see you there!

Night of the Living Zoo, October 30th

Ever wonder how our furry friends celebrate Halloween? Well wonder no more. On Friday night from 6:30-10 P.M. head on over to the National Zoo to enjoy one massive Halloween party. The adults only event will give partygoers the opportunity to watch performances, get their palms read, witness fire eaters, and much more. You’ll even get the chance to take a walk through the Ghastly Ape House and Small Mummy House, and check out the Trick Tank. Just remember to come in your best costume!

The Halloween Circus, October 31st

We never thought “Halloween” and “circus” would ever be in the same sentence, but things change. On Saturday night, head to the Black Cat on 14th St. to catch blues player Jonny Grave and his band the Tombstones perform for a night of wicked fun. The doors open at 9 P.M., and it’s a 21 and over event. That means no dressing up as giant babies, or you might not get in.

Halloween on the Row, October 30th

The whole family can have some Halloween fun on Friday afternoon from 5-7 P.M. Everyone can enjoy trick-or-treating, live music, and good eats along Bethesda Row. Just make sure to break out your best ghoulish garb and practice your “trick-or-treats” in the mirror before you get there.

District 14th Halloween Dance Party, October 30th

Dance, dance, dance! Join duo DJ Noh-Deh and DJ Chips, and Chetaiya at Provision 14 on Friday night for one massive Halloween costume dance party. Get ready to dance the night away, but remember, it’s very important to stretch before you break it down on the dance floor.

Fright Night & Halloween Costume Contest Party at 51st State, October 31

The party doesn’t stop just yet. Join 51 State Bar & Kitchen on Halloween night for Fright Night at Foggy Bottom. Partygoers will enjoy drink specials, a costume contest, live performances, and scary movies all night long. What better way to spend the scariest night of the year?

U Hell Halloween Party With Gent & Jawns, October 31st

You didn’t put your dancing shoes away already, did you? Well put them right back on and head on over to U Street Music Hall to dance the night away some more. Join club music and DJ duo Gent & Jawns alongside electronic music performer and DJ Jen Lasher to party on Halloween night.
